Seen this on a few websites and have not seen it mentioned here. Basically if your car is not SORN'd it will need to be insured so those project cars sitting up your drive with tax on them will need to insured or declared as SORN.

Not really, just a great way to make sure that un-insured cars don't get on the road. After all it isn't hard to do a SORN - even I've managed it in the past |

You can escape this provided you car has not been taxed since before I believe the date is 1997. Mine has not been taxed since 1976, though I di update the log book when registration books changed.
Forgot to mention - its a 1963 BMW 700 with a flat twin engine under the boot floor. Not showing any signs of getting up and running due to a shortage of rubber door trims. Edited by Howard |
