can i fit alloys from an 2000 E39 523i on to an 2006 E90 320i

Not directly - the hub size is slightly different. IIRC the e39 hub size is slightly larger so you'd need hub rings to use them on an e90. After that you are in to the question of wheel offset, etc. as to whether they will work in that way.

Hi and welcome to the forum, nice to see a nice local person to me Don't go messing about changing the rolling radii of your wheels on your E90 especially if it is an automatic. Different sized alloys and tyres from what the car was intended to have cause the wheels to rotate at different speeds from what the car will have been designed for. You then run the risk of upsetting the ABS and traction control units and everything else that uses signals from the wheel sensors. The tyre pressure warning system is also a faff when it comes to this. Andrew |
