Is the boot locked for driveaway protection?
Turn the key 90 degrees back and remove. Then try it... Eddie. |

Sounds like a new switch is needed. Not sure if the wires for that switch would be affected by this but the wiring loom in the black plastic tubing that links the boot lid to the main car body can chaff and short out wires. Should be easy enough to strip out the switch and check its electrical contacts with a test meter. |

The boot of my car opens via key fob, internal release and also with the key directly into the key hole. But it will not open when car is open via boot lid hand operated button above number plate. What would you think is the problem I thiought it might need a new handle/switch but not sure.
