Was out with my Gran yesterday on Millport and was taken aback by the weather so plotted a wee drive today

Full pix at http://www.flickr.com/photos/webdunk/sets/72157625106186187/

Decided to go for a drive as the weather yesterday was looking promising. Very glad I did.

From town, I took the M8 and then the Erskine Bridge before joining the A82. I took the Glen Fruin Road over to join the A814.

A814 North to Arrochar the A83 West the South-West; through Inverary all the way to Lochgilhead; then South on A83 all the way to dreary Campbeltown.

Then the spectacular B842 past Carradale and Grogport and rejoining the A83 reversig the route back to Arrochar, the through Tarbet back down the A82 behind several doughheids driving Miss Daisy and ignoring the tailback before the dual carriageway before the Erskin Bridge free'd things up again.

Back to base and then a very impressive dinner at Gamba.

Why do weekends have to end?

Looks class Duncan, I miss Scotland on days like that. Then
again, Ireland isn't much different.

The Vital Spark - Brilliant, I love watching those old
shows. Need to get a wee gander round her one day, is it
open to visitors at all?

Lucky you when I'm over there I think I have a rain cloud following me.

Never seen it as calm.
