what a fight! e30 m3 heater elements gone, getting it out was a luvly job. just managed with the 4 bolts through to the air plenum off and shoving it a bit skew, just eneough to let the element come past the column.

not easy. appart from that, steering wheel, front seat, consoles wiring loom, fire panel..

still a new element should cure the leak

88 E30 M3 fast(er than it was, ta Shep and Grant)

and a k8 2008 busa...faster still

(focus RS gone to good home - but never forgotton, eh Shep)

yes it's a major PIA! You know that there are two
different cores? Aircon and Non aircon.

ive got the part number and a photo on my phone ready to send to Simon at c3 cos he said there were two and coulnt tell me which one till i exposed it.

Uwe i am thinking the two are one like mine with front and back pipe one to the valve and  one to another plastic pipe and, the other has the in and out next to eachother and alloy pipes through bulkhead?

My S50 is doing very well. No risk of breaking it, it's
still sitting in the garage. (...don't ask)

all done now i think, just managed to twist the unit away from the column enough to slide the new element in, then wiggle it back up in place and get the nuts on under the screen. if anyones doing this tho - i made the mistake of putting the front pipe on thinking it would go thro the bulkhead on the matrix...it wont, you have to fit it after and stand on your head to get the top bolt in pia!

big thanks to Simon and Kirby at C3 for getting a matrix to me
