LED Rear lights into 03 m3

   Hi lads, i was thinking of fiiting LED rear lights into my 03 m3. Now i am far from an expert, but from my small bit of research i think  to retro fit oem LEDS, i have to have my LCM flashed, but because my car is 03 i dont need to buy a new Lcm aswell, thank god. is this correct. also will my cable just plug into lights without adapter harness?
And as a cheaper alternative, ive seen Led lights on sites and ebay etc etc that dont need to new LCM or need flashing of Lcm, anyone any experience of these? Are they very like oem's?
And last but not least, am i right is saying, rear lights from a 320 coupe etc etc will fit m3?
