Ahh but Alex the idea of the unleaded league is to score as few points as possible to get the wooden spoon and I am second behind you in the full fat but last with my unleaded team Steve |

From looking at the bonus points values, it looks like I'm leading both the "full fat" and "unleaded" leagues......
Cheers, Alex |

Am I right in saying that if I chose Mercedes as my engine that I get the bad results of Force India and Mercedes GP rolled into the sheer brilliance of McLaren?
If that is the case then I'm winning in one hand but losing in the other. DAMN! |

Totally agree. I think if Shumacher had done something dangerous then a harsh penalty is justified but it was a misunderstanding of which the only outcome was Alonso lost and Schumacher gained. I believe the penalty should have been no more than putting Schuey back in his original place and perhaps an in depth discussion to reiterate the rule to all the teams ensuring the same doesn't happen again. Still, it was awesome to see Michael still has it! lets hope to see more of that in the rest of the season. Mike |

Cheers Sporty1, never seen that interview..it's all as clear as mud now! Still think Schumi should only incurr a place penalty though |

Pure technicality here but I think a lot will depend on the wording of the statements given to the teams about the safety car. If they said the safety car is coming in at the lap without further explanation then I’d say the safety car was not deployed at the end of the race. I’m sure I can recall Ross B saying something along these lines while pointing at a print out at the end of the BBC coverage. If they said nothing then the rule you quote I think should stand. BTW, Irish friends, is David Kennedy still doing the F1 coverage over there? |

Very true and what's more, Brawn had the photo's to prove the green lights were flashing and the line was crossed. I've never heard of no overtaking under green? Surely an unclear and unjustified rule which cannot stand. Give Shuey back his place! |

I didn't see any marshalls waving green or yellow flags after the SC had entered the pits |

oops typo..over all Article 40.13 of the Formula 1 sporting regulations states: "If the race ends while the safety car is deployed it will enter the pit lane at the end of the last lap and the cars will take the chequered flag as normal without overtaking." Schumacher should only be penalised the place and not the 20seconds incurred by the ruling body IMHO. Alonso was having a siesta and was caught out by the quick thinking Schumacher. (still the fire burns within Schumi) Best race in 2010 yet! |
