Ok, so after recently trying to post an autotrader link and failing I thought I should ask, how do I do it? Also how do I shorten a link? I've tried using the search function and got nowhere and when I try to use the add hyperlink button it doesn't actually do anyhting. |

whats the problem - is it that the link doesn't post (too long or whatever) here or that the nature of the link doesn't like being copied, etc.
You can use tinyurl.com to make long links short if thats any help. |

The problem is if I simply cut and paste the web address into the post it doesn't work. If I use the insert hyperlink box and then click ok nothing gets put into the post
So for example Iopen the insert hyperlink box. I type in http://www.autotrader.co.uk then click ok and nothing happens. I have psoted autotrader links on other forums without any problems simply by copying the whole, very long, address into the post and it works fine. |
