After much consideration i have decided to sell my beloved 1998 S reg 328i sport in met Avus blue(rare for a late sport)

The car has just 55000 genuine miles and must be one of the lowest mileage sports out there, the mileage is also backed up by full specialist service history and all previous mot certificates. Unlike some low mileage cars this actually looks like a low mileage car with the bodywork in what can only be described as immaculate condition.

This is a genuine sport model as stated in the log book unlike so many other 'sports' out there, it also being a late car has the alusil block so none of the nikasil problems to worry about. Its has full black leather interior in mint condition with the usaul sport black headlining and parcel shelf.

It has the usual sport refinements of electric windows/mirrors, heated locks and washer jets, reading lights in the rear quarters, illuminted front footwells, illuminated vanity mirrors in the sun visors, power steering, fitted options of digital dual climate control for driver and passegner, air con(ice cold), on board computer, auto dimming rear view mirror, active stability control, remote central locking with the later revised factory fit bmw alarm and immobiliser.

I bought the car in Nov 08 and although it didnt need doing i put the car into my local BMW specialists(AW Autotech Aberdeen) for an inspection II and general checkover, apart from replacing the fan belt nothing needed doing. At the same time a decided to uprate the brakes with black diamond drilled discs all round and black diamond pads i also replaced all 4 calipers with brand new genuine BMW parts, i also replaced the standard springs with eibach pro springs 15mm rear 20mm front which gives the car a much nicer stance without being too low and improving the handling. Sice all this work was done i have only done 3500 miles to date and there are still 4 green service lights showing, the car uses absolutly no oil/water/coolant doesnt smoke at all and runs/pulls as you would expect of a car with this mileage.

I have two sets of the original genuine staggered bbs 041/042 wheels with one set in mint condition with diamond cut rim and powder coated centres running on nearly new goodyear eagles f1's, the spare set are in need of a refurb although not to bad and are nopt kerbed or bent in anyway.

It has all the original BMW handbook and wallet, boot tool kit which is complete, un-opened first aid kit. original warning triangle, working original glovebox torch and original business card of the supplying saleman from Ocean BMW in Plymouth along with original Ocean BMW rear window sticker.

It really is a stunning example of a 328i sport and becoming extrremely rare in this condition with this mileage and level of maitenance. The only negative point i can thinj of with the car are the rear window seals however these will be renewed before sale.

The car will come fully detailed by myself(pro detailer) before sold

Im asking good money but unlike many i beleive its realistic for the cars condition and mileage.

£4950 gavinbooth@aol.co.uk or gavin@detailecosse.co.uk or 0779371841. Car located 5 mins from Aberdeen international airport.

Auto or manual?

When you say it has an Alusil Block, have you confimred this or are you just going by the registration/build date?

Given it has a very low milage has it still been serviced regularly?

Sorry its manaul, and yeh confirmed by BMW and my local independant specialists.

The car has been very well maintained backed up by paperwork and stamped service book, i will dig out the service book and list the services but from memory its had two major inspection 2's in the last three years.

The build date should be all the confirmation you need Peter, they stopped using nikasil blocks in March 98, my 323 escaped it by just one month! That was confirmed by BMW also.

I've heard stories about the odd car slipping through the net though.

To be honest I was more interested in understanding what was behind the statement.

Nice car but a bit more than I want to spend really.
