I have been weighing up my options over the past couple of months.

Trade in the e30 m3 and put in some extra cash and go for a csl, or keep the e30 and spend some cash to give it a bit more performance in the engine and braking department?

The problem is i am concerned about the running costs of the csl, servicing, tyres and the odd problem here and there could soon see the wallet taking major hits.

On the flip side my e30 is a low miles and really nice original condition 215bhp car, and deep down i dont really want to start messing with it or sell it. SO,.....along with our boy(brother) we have bought one of these!!....

Its an MNR VORTX, and can be fitted with various engines. We have ordered one with a yamaha R1 unit and full road cage. It should weigh in at about 370kg and the engine will knock out about 160bhp, so power to weight will be good!! 0-60 takes 4sec with a top end of 140mph!

The only problem is It wont be ready until mid june, so i'll keep you posted.

Think you did the right thing and keep the M3. I wish i never sold mine, but i needed the funds for a business venture.

I'm sure you'll have fun in the Vortx.

Coates-

Going 50/50 on a new car is interesting!

I take it you will be in charge of polishing the car while your brother will be in charge of driving the thing?

well, after what has felt like an age....its here.

registered, taxed, insured and ready to go. Unfortunatey i am going

on holiday tomorrow and it will be left in my brothers....capable...hands.

i have only done approx 50 miles but when i jumped back in the m3 it felt like i was in an old granada!!

got a bit of a shakedown period over the coming weeks and then off for a geo and suspension setup before driving to the ring on the 20th august(hardcore)

Anyone from here going that weekend???
