Hi Guys, I have the above car and the exhaust is fried. What I want to know is, can I fit an exhaust from another model ? I'm planning to fit a sport rear bumper so ideally a sport system would suit me aesthetically. What are my options ?? Cambell |

If you look at www.realoem.com you'll see that there are different part numbers for the exhausts on different e39's so it would appear they may not be all interchangeable. IIRC the m52 520i and 523i may be the same but the 528i is different. Not sure how substantial the differences are though. |

Looks like I'm going to just replace the bit thats burgered and replace the rear box with a nice twin outlet number. It just means I'll have to get a bit of welding done.
