hello all

eddie from cork here

a few of ye might know me from bmw-driver

looked around here for a while so decided to join up

drive a 96 318is which is work in progress

its been off the road now for 6 months getting lots of work done

while i was getting a few small bits done i decided to go the full whack and replace any part that goes so all bushings,ball joints,wishbones,termostat,water pump ,viscus fan,radiator, power steering pump, steering rack,track rod ends,clutch, brake hoses and lines the list goes on ha ha and i poped on some m3 front brakes as well

will get some picts up soon

but should be good to go soon

You're very welcome, good luck with your project. Nice that someone is willing to keep these older cars on the road.

I am in Denmark at the moment; cars are so expensive here that older cars have a much longer service life. Lots of E20's and 30's; great to see, I think!

Looked at (not to buy, alas) a 550i in the dealership here in DK; pricetag 1.4 million Danish Kroner = 200.000 Euro. Fully loaded Mini Cooper S is 95.000 Euro!

Just a quick question....did you have any problems getting gaskets, hoses and the likes? I am currently working on getting my 318iS back to former glory and am having trouble getting some of the smaller parts like I mentioned!
