Thanks Duncan,

Will give them a shot. I just got refused from HBOS! For something really silly! And they won't let me appeal!
Not looking good at the moment!

I have used RBS and YBS both excellent.  although depends on your circumstances, and % you are looking for.

I have a private advisor who got us a first time mortgage when we both had credit "issues" ... now thats sorted and the new mortgage is fantastic.

He will come to your home to in order to discuss your needs.

Carfin, oh dear...

Never mind, cheapest when I got my first time buyer was Halifax. There are millions of deals out there though. Don't do mortgage calculator things as Alliance n Leister offer me alone 90k and Halifax 199k.

You could go down the www.moneysupermarket.com route as that's where i'm looking just now for my next move.

I use the Alliance and Leicester for banking and they have been excellent all the years I've used them - I've had loads of good, free independent advice from them!
