Yip.

The date had been submitted for leave to management and approved.  The long haired general, her indoors who must be obeyed at all times is studying that day so I am allowed out.

As most of you are aware, I had my beloved E60 stolen, with the key from Douglas Park BMW dealer in Glasgow on 26th January.

Again thank you for all your support with this matter to date.

After 2 months I now have a replacement vehicle which is my own.

Some pictures.

Nice side shot

I really like the headlights

Trying to get the classic 3/4 shot

...and oh yes it is the same model as the last time!

Nice smooth V8 which is barely run in.

She has a sport steering wheel, comfort seats with about 47,000 different combinations of seat position, 8x18 alloys of the front and 9x18 alloys on the rear and Sports Suspension.  Genuine 25,400 miles on the clock

Bought from a BMW Dealer in Derby on Saturday and driven back up the road by myself and my wife on Saturday afternoon even managed to get 32.8 mpg!

I had 4, yes only four BMW 545i's to choose from through the BMW dealer AUC scheme that matched my spec, or rather price range for the one that got stolen.  These cars are as common as rocking horse manure.

I got no assistance from Douglas Park or BMW UK during the purchase of this car.

However the Dealer in Derby, Stratstone, was most pleasant to deal with.  they were very generous and courteous, which is very very good considering that I will never set foot again in that particular dealership as it is over 300 miles away from my house.

I hope I have this one longer than the 4 months that I had the last one for.  I was without my last E60 for over half the length of time that I did actual own it for!

Once again thanks for all your support guys.

Andrew
