temporarily disable any running IP filtering software like PeerGuardian or Protowall, the latest bluetack blocklist updates seem to block YouTube

Thanks Stephen for that. Complicated but understandable. You would want to be doing it every day for it to become instinctive (a bit like idrive I suppose)

I presume Adobe Premier is a fairly high cost product, what video editors are usable at the cheapskate end of the spectrum.

Edit. Watched the original post again brown paper bag is definitely easier but probably wouldn't last on track days!

i used a cloth on the front plate and a folded sheet of A4 on the rear

i forgot to take something to cover the plates so i had to make do with what i had in the car.

The cloth added a certain soft focus effect, not achievable with A4 paper and if the tutorial put up by Stephen is anything to go by, a hell of a lot easier than using Adobe Premier

I used Windows Movie Maker that came with Windows XP on my wife's computer (remember earlier post looking for cheapskate software) to assembe and credit this video.

Another cheapskate detail, the on board camera is a €120 Vivitar 4mp digital camera used in 320x240 movie mode mounted on a piece of 3mm aluminium held on by the mirror bolts!

i used to use pinnacle studio deluxe which was a good introduction, before moving onto adobe premiere 6, then pro 1.5, then cs2 and now cs3.  windows movie maker is not bad and its free, there's also serif movie plus which is surprisingly effective for £30 odd

the suite that i use, adobe master collection cs3, has every adobe product and has an rrp of over £2500, - be warned that you need a powerful computer to run these effectively, and lots of memory and hard drive space - it takes an absolute age to install because of the sheer size of the package, theres about 12 dvds!
