As you say Gary that's at the end of a long list but I can help out there, I have the perfect headunit for that car single cd/dvd player with screen built in. mucho cheapo

here

btw I don't think the rust looks that bad for a 17 year old, I've seen many 17 yr olds you'd be scared to poke a stick at

good luck anyway mate and if I can help you in anyway just give me a shout as long as it doesn't mean me having to exert myself in any way or get my hands dirty

Cheers guys. Stevie just bring the beers mate that'll do.

Been at it again and the painter came up today to have a close look at the car. His oppinion is that it does not need a bare metal respray as i have already replaced the O/s front wing and door last year, the bonnet is being replaced as is the N/s wing.

So the only other part is the N/s door which is perfect as are the rear quarters. So a full respray is happening just not a bare metal one.

Heres some more pic's of the car being scotched today. Next step is to have some minor dents repaired before we block the car and the holes being sorted on Saturday.

Things are moving on now.

Gary

you should take your front and rear screen out. Mine cost me £40, plus you can see how the front skuttle is. Check under the panel through the vents. I had a new one put on mine.

Looking good thoughgt mate.

Yeah Toby the scuttle is goosed. Stevie the painter said to leave both front and rear windows in until the car is blocked then remove them, get the scuttle panel repaired and then paint and lastly put windows back in.

Whho did you use to take the windows out, do you have a number mate?

Ian it's just not happening quick enough.

BMW seam sealer is a pain in the arse. It hides amulitude of sins. The holes that I thought were wee ones turned out to be a bit bigger than first thought.

Then the welding started yesterday and finished today.

Nearly finished

Now to underseal

All done and ready for paint prep
