I'm sure this has been discussed before but I'd like to clear it up once and for all........!

 

I noticed some paint bubble/rust just above my rear bumper so I rang Cotswold BMW (Cheltenham) body shop. They informed me that the paint warranty is only 3 years......

Surely this isn't right?! When I questioned them about it being 6 years they simply said "I don't know where you heard that - it's always been 3!"

Anybody with any experience of this please......?

Ring Robert Stern in Worcester and see if you get the same answer

Think that is correct..... 3 year paint warranty, but 12 year anti corrosion warranty,for cars registered after 1st Jan 2004, if its bubbles and there is no paint 'damage and its original are you not covered under the corrosion warranty?

Robert Stern have just informed me about the 12yr anti-corrosion warranty - only thing being my car was registered Oct 2001! But they have said they will have a look so I'll see what happens

IIRC they had 6 year anti corrosion then, so yours is still inside that, just.

I know Cotswold are closer to you, by Stern's are Better (by far!)
