So what exactly did the British engineers "re-engineer"?

If it DID have a 'panoramic glass roof' it appears to have been filled in! |

Whatever it is that was re-engineered, it went way overbudget for little apparent change..... Just like a government quango |

The bootlid and rear quarter panels are completely different, not my cup of tea but it obviously appeals to someone. Regards, Bayerische |

I have a photo of the car that was published when it was new, bought at great expense from the Observer Archive. I understood that the glass roof section slid into the boot similar to the AMG engineered Merc 2 seater that my brother owns, but the EBay pics do not bear this out. The cost of the conversion was well over 60K, which in 1982 was perhaps equivalent to about 150K now! I wish that I had seen the post earlier, as I have wanted to prepare an article on the vehicle for a long time, but have never managed to locate it. Clayton Harrison got a bargain for 5.5K I reckon, provided the car is in as good nick as it looks? Anyone know how to contact him? If so, please advise.
