Shame you live so far away, I've got a whole can! Wurth do it but I think they only supply to the motor trade. Have you tried searching online to see if anyone does it?

Hi Mick,

Next time you are passing give me a shout and I will take a quick look.

If everything is in good order the belt should not need any lube etc. In general, the mechanic in a spray can is more of a marketing exercise that of any real benefit.

i was jus treading through your posts and had a similar problem before on a passat there is a spray you can get called (belt grip) you spray it on when the belt is running i have seen it in the car accsesory shops! it puts a kind of rubber layer on the belt it staies tacky to help on cold start up,or maybe put a better brand belt on (Gates) seem to be a good brand as i dont beleve in stealership parts for some of there basic servicing parts e.g. oil plugs belts there's better to be got..
