Very nice !

Congrats on finding what looks like a nice car, don't forget to join the E30 register now...

I keep thinking of getting a tourer, and i think yours is the best colour for one! let us now how she goes. Was this the car with the noise from the rear? If so have you managed to sort it yet?

Cheers

Hi Mark

well mate so far its been a top car, very pleased as its so clean and tidy and goes so well, fuel is about 32mpg, insurance is the same as my old Vauxhall SXi.

The noise as you mention we thought was comin from the rear but turns out to be the thrust bearing on the clutch (dunno why I thought it was from the back?) On a long run the noise does get progessivley worse as the engine warms up. It hasnt presented any probs though and I took it to the BMW specialist where it has been serviced for the last 100k up to this May, they checked and said wouldnt worry about it until it actually packs up. So I can live with that.

If you were thinkin of a Tourer then I can highly recomend from my very limited experience. I paid £1500 for this one. I saw on eBay the other day nearly the exact same car, Lreg 146k fsh, recaro leather fronts, air con etc £1800 so they are about.

Cheers for the advice anyway no doubt there will be many more questions. By the way how do I add to the E30 reister?

'trip
