I was having problems with my old 7 with 154K and lots of dents, to the extent that I was going to swap it for a new Skoda estate.
As a last resort, having taken it to two garages in an attempt to get it to do more than 18 mpg, and accelerate to more than 30mph in 100 metres, I took it to Autohaus near York, (Craig and Michael - 01904 769100). Result - a swift and accurate diagnosis of a faulty crankshaft sensor and oxygen sensor. Fixed for not a lot, with a free tour of York into the bargain. Skoda now banished from my mind. DXI 431 is now doing 25 to 32 mpg, and goes like **** off a shovel. Give the lads a try - I recommend them highly. PS: The dents are still there! |

Funny that Howard, was only just thinking what they were called - the old ti is running a bit under the weather as it needs an oil service (maybe a g/box service as well). http://www.autohausdiagnostics.co.uk/
I've just sent them an email Edited by Rhys |
