All 'conventional' dampers contain oil and gas, be it in emulsion, seperated by a floating piston, in a bag or just 'free'. It's what allows the piston rod to enter the damper body, reducing the internal volume - fluids are essentially incompressible, so if you didn't have the gas element to compress, the rod wouldn't move at all. |

Sorry chaps, there isnt a problem, i have bought some and will be fitting them at the weekend, thanks for your comments hoofty which i knew but there are some in the motorcycle world with gas and wondered if there were any bilstein ones available? sorry to be vague.
