Hi everybody, Barbara here, I haven't got my own log-on so I'm having to use Mick's.

After talking to a few people at Keilder last Sunday, there seemed to be enough interest  for one final trip before the nights pull in, so I'm organising a trip around the Lakes on Sunday 01/10/06, taking in as many passes as possible.

I'm suggesting that we meet at Middleton Tyas Services (Scotch Corner) at 0930 for a 1000 departure.

The basic route is via  the A66 (picking up at Penrith if anyone is travelling from the North West or Scotland) - Kirkstone Pass - Ambleside - Wrynose Pass - Hardknott Pass - Eskdale Green - Ulpha - Wrynose Pass (again) - Great Langdale Valley - Chapel Stile - Grasmere - Keswick (stop for lunch/sandwiches) - Borrowdale - Honister Pass - Buttermere Village - Newlands Pass - Keswick - Home.

That's six passes - are you up to it?

Can you let me know as soon as possible?

Thanks

Barbara

P.S No arrangements have been made for lunch as I haven't had time.

Saying as there's no interest from anyone in Teeside or Yorkshire  I'm considering  starting the trip farther North.

We've already got a few signed up is anyone else interested ?

Cheers

Sorry Barbara, I cannot make this one.  Sounds like a good run though.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass-out at 31 Flavours last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

The meeting venue has now been changed to the Curry's/Matallan car park at Kingston Park, Newcastle as this is more central for those who are coming, and we will be taking the A69 and then going via Alston to Penrith.

Meeting time is 0930 for a 0945 departure.

Anyone who wishes to come but hasn't been in touch is still welcome

Thanks,

Mick

Thanks to everbody that turned up. Shame more didn't turn up as it was a good day. We only got two passes done but we'll be back with a vengeance next year!!!

Here's a few photos taken on the day:-

Cafe at Hartside Pass.

Mick's Baur.....

.... Jonathan's E36 328.....

.... and Terry's E34 535is at Wrynose Pass.

All cars again at Wrynose Pass.

The descent down Wrynose Pass.

That's Hardknott Pass snaking up the hill in the distance - one of next year's targets.....

Thanks

Barbara.

Hi All

We were coming down the A686 towards Alston from Hartside Moor, saw you and waved.

Here's some of our pics from the weekend

Due to recent events and a problem getting back on this board, I didn't know a run was happening.

Looks like you had a good run as well

Cheers

Stu
