But why would you want another cars service book?? Your either going to frame it and keep it or con someone when you sell you car that had no history.

I bought an owners manual and service history off ebay (it was a 318i though) for the manual/folder/map, ive still got the service book but i aint fooling anyone with it saying 318i on the front.

Selling the service history book is a bit of a cheek but the rest someone might genuinly want. Either way it will have the chassis number in the service book so unless your a mong it wouldnt be an issue falling for it.

I could disagree on that one.....

say you had a car with no history but a service book...

you could open the staples and swap the service pages with your book thus retaining you vin etc but gaining a service history.

sly, untrustworthy, et but would fool alot of ppl dont you think and could add more than 100 quid to some shedded m3.........

just a thought.

donk

based on some of the daft prices people pay on ebay on basis that its got to be a bargin then why not try for the £100??

just look at CSL alloys and some E30 M3parts always going for more than at local dealers!!

I particularly like the fact that "genuine" and "reprint" appear almost adjacent to one another in the same sentence!

At least it is just an owner`s manual. Useful if after a decade of M3 ownership you suddenly wish to know how to change a bulb, or unlock the boot or something!

A secondhand service history from an unknown car can only serve one purpose.

I have two of these, and plug  spanners, and footrests, and whole spare cars. (which I do not consider to be particularly valuable)

How many laps of the `ring do I get for that lot?!?

He's 100% correct though, if you go into BMW and order a manual, this is what you get, a genuine BMW re-print. BMW have been doing re-prints for years now.

What's not right though is the price hike from £3 that BMW would charge you for it!!
