Hi all!

Long time not been here...

Nevermind, I need to have the Inspection 2 (220K kms) to my little BM (E36 316i saloon); any recommendation for a reputable BMW garage in Wolverhampton area would be appreciated.

Any idea about the main BMW dealer in Wolverhampton (Benham) or elsewhere in Birmingham area?

Many thanks

I guess that after 22 views and no replies, there is a complete ignorance of the subject...

If you are competely new to BMWs and this appears to be the first time you want to visit a BMW garage, can the previous owner offer any help? From your service record book, who serviced the car previously? If you are new then you have to visit the local BMW dealer, even if it just to check out the atmosphere and attitude of the staff.
My favourite is Robert Stern in Worcester. I took my first BMW, a 1994 730i, there in 1999 whilst they were still in Evesham. I walked into the showroom amongst a glittering show of cars I could only dream of yet they treated my like royalty. The workshop manager came out with me on a test drive to check on a fault I had reported and told me what the cause was, gave me a price and asked if I wanted to have it done by them or not.
Another time I took it in for a service only to be telelphoned on my mobile whilst walking away that it didn't need a service just yet and gave such good reasons that I went back and collected the car.
They weren't to know then that I would purchase a 3 series from them a few years later.
I know that not all dealers are as good as this but I suppose dealers are only as good as their personnel.

Anyway, I wish you luck in your quest for a good BMW service garage.

Regards

Hi Marie Nolle,

I have only just spotted your post. How have you been, well I hope? Have not seen you around lately. Have you still got the Jaguar?

I cannot help you with info on where to go in the Birmingham area but I'm sure there must be someone on here who can point you in the right direction. Come on guy's help the lady out.

Any chance that you might get to the Donnington show on the 22nd of October. Its not to far from Birmingham. A few of us from the NW will be there. Vicki and I went last year and enjoyed it very much. Should be even better this year. Would be nice to say hello again.

Let me know if you can make it.

Steve.

Dave thanks for your reply. I will keep this in mind for the future... when I want to buy a new BMW, as the one I had is gone now .

I'll explain in a minute.

Steven, thanks for writing . Been very busy lately, so no time to breathe...

Now back to the Cute Little Beemer, as I used to call him. My parents came to visit me and...they took him back. They actually drove back

And I escorted them, with my current...and only from now on car, up to France

I have a couple of photos from the trip:

The two 4-wheeled babies, side by side, in an underground garage in Brussels

On a service station (aire) near Troyes: Me, waving  goodbye, to my little BM. Jag, behind me, observing...

I will always keep my lucky bag with the BMW logo

Mom and Dad will content themselves  with this suit case...

I hope you don't mind if I don't have a BMW readily available to use ...

If work goes well, then in 3 years, I may be able to buy a 120d or a second hand 330d coupe (the new model)

Ah! the Jaguar!!!I expect there is an interesting story there somewhere.

It brings back memories of when my son went through three jaguars ending up with the V12 which he used to pull the family caravan over the swiss alps when we were stationed in Germany. Of course in those days one could fill both petrol tanks for 25.
He is now a 7 series enthusiast and now will not look at anything other than a BMW. Being an ex-vehicle mechanic he loves messing with cars. He is currently stripping down and overhauling his air conditioning system.

I know what you mean about BMWs...

Today, I test drove the new 330d coup

What can I say? Amazing, exhilarating, will accelerate in a blink of an eye and disappear in the horizon. He (all the cars I drive are hes ) will do things  (on the road) before you think it twice
