The front electric seats on my six have become extremely rickety, which is really annoying me and I think not that far off becoming dangerous (the backs can be moved back and forward A LOT without engaged the lever). The passenger side has also become partially detached at the hinge nearest the door and can be moved up and down a few inches on that side. Does anyone else suffer this problem and more importantly does anyone know what can be done? Can they be adjusted/tightened up somehow, what does this involve? Any help much appreciated! Cheers all, Mark |

-with the manual ones there are some screws in the back that can be retightened, once the back cover is removed. The electric ones may be similar in this regard. I have also heard of the electric seats going faulty through a number of quite minor cable-related problems, too. So it might yet be a cheap fix.... sorry can't help any more than that.... cheers

Thanks Brucey. I took the backs off at the weekend and a couple of screws had come loose on the passenger side (the ones which hold the backframe to the baseframe), which has tightened it up a bit and at least stopped the dangerous vertical movement. However the same screws on the drivers side were tight but the actual bracket has snapped both sides, so looks like I'll have to put up with the rickety seats forever cheers |
