Sounds like you all had a great day - despite the weather!! I was so depressed all day yesterday (coz I couldn't go)!

Was there a good turn out??

had a great day... really enjoyed the track, was able to learn more about my car, how she handles in the wet was very suprising!! another good thing about the rain was at least the tyres where not torn to bits!  roll on the next one.

The induction cone is only a few inches from the turbo so i reckon thats why it sounds nice, was even louder when it was non intercooled, gonna look for a big hks intercooler or similar... wind up boost even further (albeit with an mbc and a boost gauge) and wait for the pop!

Alright, had a good laugh, though the conditions were a bit miserable, it was good fun on the track. Cheers for the spin ben, some nice powerslides :) I wonder if its the new air filter setup that makes your car sound nice, it sounds really good for a diesel. Get the IC mounted up properly soon.

Just home now, had a brilliant time, didnt realise even my car could be so much fun, the wet weather made for an, er, interesting experience! Talk about powerslides!!!

Intercooler held up well despite 3 spin offs!

As usual it was great to meet new people and put many faces to names, hope ye all had as much fun as i did!

So heres to the next BDD, though i hope to be in a little bit more exotic motor, //M-Power!

My best time (I think) was a 2:23. Very scary on the brakes but grip through corners was surprisingly good. And the wet track made for great powerslides. My car held up great apart from the brakes. Rear pads bedded in fully after a few sessions and the fronts gave a vibration at the start but got better later on. Really looking forward to the next BDD. I'll be a bit better sorted though.

My videos are about 350mb long. Youtube won't let me put them up. Is there another site that will?

what pads and fluid have you got on car?

Just home now. Long long day. Changed the rear pads and washed the car. After that reckless kindly helped change the oil. It's now on fresh Motul 5w40. New oil filter and air filter and I'll be filling her with V-Power early in the morning. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Ya its a rather strange beast, he is going to supercharge it, just building bits and pieces now, its got a nissan patrol gearbox and a toyota hiace rear axle, completely stripped with a very very complex rollcage inside, should be a rocket around the track.

Now that is one rather awesome sounding beast! I'd love to something crazy like that with my e34 and give someone the fright of their lives

Ado, the track is the best place to scrub in those new tyres. Bring your car anyway. I'll do my best regarding a joyride. Make yourself known. See you on Sunday.

If anybody is worried about driving on track, don't be. You don't have to go mad fast and there's a beginner group. And there'll be a few experienced guys that will be happy to show anyone the lines on the day. You won't wear the tyres unless you keep going very hard on the brakes and push hard in the corners every lap.

Don't forget to bring a helmet!

Alex, if you dont mind i'll keep the seat warm for reckless. I'd like to see how the M3 handles on track before I go out myself the next time. I only bought the car last week, and have just paid for tyres and i'm getting a tiny bit of rust treated next week, and a fog lamp fitted.

Generally you wouldn't be allowed out on track if your injury affects the time it takes you to get out of the car after an accident. i.e. if the car catches fire, you would want to be able to get out of it fairly lively. Dunno what Mondello's policy is wrt. trackdays though!
