Well, James did say in the programme that wings were getting on for £500 each, so that should have been enough of a warning

Quote they weren't greedy enough, wonder what the mileage was on it?

Enough not to need a timing chain

Now that you mention it, I wonder why they never did it, or at least mentioned it?

Possibly they didn't do enough research on the car as I think this is a major thing and should most definately pointed out as to save BIG repair bills

No timing chain issues to speak of on the M30.

Was a good day out. Enjoyed the day despite the temperatues.

Still have not seen the show yet.

you can download your Andy Worhol moment for prosterity on the link i provided but you'll need to register (it's free) and you'll need a bittorrent client to download the episode, i personally recommend bittornado, which is free too - www.bittornado.com

I finally caught it last night as a re-run. Wow, James, that is one HAWT 635 you have there.

What's the consensus about the red B-reg? Worth a punt or not?

Worth a punt, but still don't understand why they put it back on metrics..... Sure you'll be able to find some imperial wheels.

Are you getting itchy for another one, "spokey"?

Neither do I Ivan especially as he said he was after BBS X spokes, and I thought TRX's cost in the region of £200 a corner rather than £120 as he said. It seemed to me that for someone that was selling these years ago, really is rather clueless to some of the major issues of the car (metrics/rusty wings etc). I did like the leather interior though!

I can't help myself.

But I'd prefer a manual, and no f***ing way would I drive a car on metrics again.
Ciao,

Quick - someone inform Mike Brewer!

If he finds out he can buy the very car he sold 4 months ago for a grand less than he took, then he will make the best eppisode of the series out of this one. What a Wheeler Dealer!!!

it gets better, in the programme the week after they bought, restored and "sold" a corvette

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CHEVROLET-CORVETTE-C4-AUTO-LOW-RESERVE _W0QQitemZ330032637475QQihZ014QQcategoryZ18308QQrdZ1QQcmdZVi ewItem#ebayphotohosting

that's back on ebay too....

....same seller

i seem to recall the makers of deals on wheels getting into trouble many years ago for fabricating "deals", looks like history repeating

Sounds like a case of back to his old tricks then - didn't he spend £3040 on the 635 so he got his money back. Maybe someone will tip off the watchdogs again
