e39 530d starting problems

    Hi guys , had trouble starting my 530d, this was an intermittent problem and only occured when engine was warm, never a problem from cold start, went to a few diagonistic guys but every one had a different view, one guy told me to replace the fuel pump in the diesel tank which i did , and still the same poblem,  another guy got me to change the "fuel filter" if only it was as easy as that! Eventually i was told it was a pre supply pump, still having my doubts i bit the bullet and sent it to a main dealer , 2 days later problem sorted, it turned out to be a "cam shaft sensor"  cost �80, labour brought bill to �567
