So KB, how about creating a "Anyone else who happens to drive a 'BMW' vehicle/derivative that hasn't got its own forum in this forum" forum?

That should keep everybody happy?!

its a tough call, but since we had a joint meeting with them it would be churlish not to let them join in the forum (even though i personally felt there was a distinct "them & us" flavour to the whole thing - seperate areas of the pub/restaurant, they didn't want to mix with our lot, never the twain shall meet!)

on my local radio station (moray firth) calterdon advertises the mini alongside its usual fare so any prospective owner may be expecting a presence on a bmw related forum as well as the specific mini ones

i agree with amalgamating some little-used sections and maybe giving them one of their own for appearance sake

It didn't actually. The Range Rover did. 2.5 turbo diesel six cylinder from the 525 TDS. It's the only thing, and I mean the ONLY thing that will work for more than 6 months without braking on the bloody car.

The X Forum is lightly used and there is no Z Forum either.

How about a "MINI, X, Z and others" Forum?

TBH Mini2.com is the biggest Mini site around, no real need for a sub-forum here, but Mini Members should be allowed!

It could be  possibility I guess - I think it would be dependant on how much use it would receive and also would it be appropriate for a BMW forum since it is marketed as MINI (non-BMW)

I think it all goes back to BMW buying Rover out and taking control of the Mini name and using Range Rover for the development of the X5 (Land Rover 2.5 TDi units are BMW powered). This said, can Mini be actualy called a BMW? Mini has it's own heritage.
