Yes wins from 14th on the grid, Alonso broke down with a 'broken drive-shaft' although JB was catching him and looked racy anyway. Kimi crashed, MSchu ran into NickH (haha) and retired (but latest news is that Kubica got disqualified so he gets a point anyway) , Fitzi also retired with engine management failure, all info here - http://www.formula1.com/ No point in waiting up for the highlights now is there? Normally I'd agree with you (Which has to be a first) but .... The Hungerian GP was Great because it had overtaking!!! why? Because, it rained there for the first time in 21 years, so no-one had any wet setup for the circuit, and..... It was the first wet race of 2006, so no-one had a clue what the wet tyres would do. So.......... what F1 needs in more rain!

Oh yes. I have an idea for motor-racing.... All circuits will be fully covered. With sprinklers fitted. Randomly controlled by computer. So some or all of the track may be damp, or wet, or not throughout the racing,
Hows that? - should be interesting! |

Simon - sounds like you want it to turn into something more like rallycross.
For those who don't know - rallycross is the best form of motorsport done in short sub-5 minute races on mixed tarmac and gravel surfaces. When it is on in Ireland it is usually pouring out of the heavens which makes it even better. The sound out of some of the cars like Dermot Carnegies Focus is something else! |

Used to go to Brands for that every year, though the sound of the V10's up close & personal can't be described - When the Porches came on after the early warm up lap they sounded tame! |

I used to Marshal quite a bit at Mondello.
At one stage I saw Eddie Irvines 1999 Ferrari do a few laps driven by someone whose name escapes me. Anyhow, we were allowed to stand down for the session and I managed to get a few pics of the car driving about 2 feet away from me (at a reduced speed of course). The V10 did sound luverly. The current V8s don't sound quite the same. |

And the best venue over here.. Croft Circuit. Not the bit we use.. well some of it.. but a fantastic infield section.. all the drivers love it. Last time I saw it all close up, Will Gollop was the man. Now theres an idea for Croft'07.. where can you get knobblies for the M3? |

Why did Kubica get disqualified, and how does Shuey get a point when he didn't finish? Also, how did he finish ahead of Sato who did finish (I know he was 3 laps behind, but still...)

1. Kunbica's car was 2Kg underweight after the race.
2. Schumi was still classified as the race was over. |
