E39 M 5 MAF replacement

   I've heard (from an American E39 M5 forum) that replacing the MAF's with VW versions improves things generally, does anyone have experience of this? Also their location in the stock arrangement does not suit urban driving as they can take hotter air circulating the engine and give a "false" impression to the sensors messing with the mixture settings, again anyone who may be able to help with advice is much appreciated.
