Remember this http://www.bmwcarclubforum.co.uk/forum_posts.asp?TID=18335&a mp;a mp;KW ?

Well, this year's event is being held at the same venue - Dilston Castle near Corbridge - on Sunday 02/07/06, with all profits again going MENCAP.

Last year, this show proved to be the highlight of our local events calendar when we had 15 cars on display. It would be particularly nice to better that figure.

Space again will be limited this year - so to make sure that your car is admitted, please click on the link below, complete the form and get it sent to me as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Mick

Last show for the Touring?

You might even sell it there! (Says Andy trying to keep his cheque book in his pocket!)

Great that you can still make it Alan.

MG Northumbria are having their final pre-event meeting tonight, so I should be hearing in a couple of days what time they're wanting us there. As soon as I hear, I'll post our arrangements.

Floody/Graham, how's it looking for you guys?

Cheers,

Mick

Right guys, final arrangements:-

We are meeting in the same layby as last year so that we can get our display order sorted before we get to Dilston - I've copied the instructions for getting there from last years topic as a reminder:-

At the Styford roundabout (A69/A68), take the turning for Corbridge (B6530) and follow the road into the town. Entering Corbridge, stay on the B6530 and turn left, passing over the Tyne. At the roundabout at the south side of the bridge, take the turning signposted B6321 (A695) for Hexham. Travel about 1½ miles and you will pass a B&B on the left, followed by a sign for S bends. On the left hand side of the right bend is a lay-by. Pass the lay-by’s first entrance, and enter by the second entrance. This will now have you now pointing east. There is more than ample room to safely park all the cars.

We have to be at Dilston for 10.00. That means meeting at the layby by 0915 at the latest, sorting out the display and leaving at 0945.

I'll be at the Lakeside from 0820 to 0830 incase anyone wishes to travel through with me.

The entry passes will be handed out at the layby - so don't go straight to Dilston Castle - you won't get in.

There are strict safety rules this year regarding moving cars once we arrive, so it's important that we get our display order sorted before we get to Dilston. As we will be displaying the cars in two lines - the same as last year - we'll form the two lines up in the layby. With one or two cars struggling to make Sunday, I've raised this with the MG guys and they've agreed to allow substitute cars. If you think you'll need to swap your car, can you let me know so that I can allow for it in our display.

If anyone has any points or questions or if there's anything I've missed, can you please get in touch with me asap. For those that don't know, my mobile is 07801 905566.

Fingers crossed for a fine day.

Cheers,

Mick
