For those of you who want an excellent cheap alternative to expensive silver indicator bulbs that blend with the "clears" I have a great solution.
I use spray-paint. The type I use can be found at a hobby shop that sells remote control cars. The brand here in the states is Pactra and the color is Indy silver. Make sure the paint is a high temp type. I imagine engine enamel would work but I have never tried it.
All you do is mask off the metal portion, label the tape as to front or rear bulbs. Once you apply the paint it with be impossible to see the filaments. It only takes 1-2 light coats to cover the orange tint. Allow the paint to cure in the bright sun or overnight if you rarely see the sun.
When you place the bulbs in the socket take care. Because the paint has not "baked on" and will scratch off easily. Once it has been cured by the heat of the bulb being on, you would have to sand it off to remove the silver paint.
I have used this procedure for awhile. The bulbs will pop orange and be nearly invisible when off.
