Kimbolton Country Fayre and Charity Classic

Sunday 16th July, 2006

We have initially been allocated display space for 16 cars at the fayre, though it may be possible to get more should there be sufficient interest.

It is an event organised jointly by the Sporting Bears Motor Club and the Kimbolton Castle Rotary Club, and the aim of the fayre is to raise money for different charities and last year’s figure was over Ł18,000.

The fayre is set in the magnificent parkland setting of Kimbolton Castle where Queen Catherine of Aragon, the wife of Henry VIII, was confined until her death in 1535.

The attractions for 2006 are still being confirmed but here is flavour of what was there in 2005:

Flypast by the Red Arrows                    Irish Dancing Display

Craft and Trade Stalls                           Karts and Quad Bikes

Fairground Rides                                 Caspian Horse Display

Climbing Wall                                     Archery

Birds of Prey Flying Display                    Punch and Judy

The Galaxy Swing Band                          Honda Goldwing Rides

Dog Agility and Obedience                       Shire Horse Display

Sheepdog Display                                 Steam Engine Display

Chinese Dragon Dance Display

In addition ... there will be a huge classic car display with over 800 vehicles, with “Dream Rides” available in a selection of exotic cars.

The original 16 Tickets have all been allocated now, but an additional 8 arrived this morning and of these I now have 4 left.

It's not too late to post them out ... give me a call ... but be quick.
