26, and I've had mine 3 years now. Insurance has just been renewed at £440 which is actually up on last year by £60! Had my car for 3 years now and have covered 50,000km in that time so the mileage is now around 300,000km.

I am insured through AON and the policy is with Royal Sun Alliance I think.. It’s only insured for private use and no commuting (I work from home anyway).

Age 34 years. Based in North Hampshire, Car is garaged in a rented council lock-up about half a mile from my house.
I pay £740 a year fully comp for a classic policy (i.e. NCB not used/needed), BUT, thats for a group/fleet policy on the lancia, the m5, the m3 and the MK.1 rocco. I get 12K miles a year to split across the cars as I want. Agreed value on all of them as well.
Very happy with this. I was with Aon for several years, but they have started to take the P**s recently. They did haggle in the end, but their overall best quote was still a £100 quid more and was considerably less flexible about the mileage (less miles overall as well at 10k)
New insurance outfit is called Classicline
I'm on my second Evo2 E30 M3. 6 years in total - 2.5 years with the current beasty....

I am 36 now and I have had my car for nine years. So I bought it when I was 27...
As for insurance at the moment I pay € 270.00 which is about GBP 180.00 annually on an agreed value and unlimited mileage, but this will change to a limited mileage policy of 7,500 kms for € 93.00 or GBP 62.00 per year.

OK - time for a recap.
Thanks to the 94 entrants that played - and to those also eligible who haven't........
why not?
favourate age group appears to be 25 to 34 - obviously too young to drive one when it was new!
Next is 35 to 44 - obviously too poor to drive one when it was new
followed by 45 to 54 (which includes me - still just!) could possibly have afforded it when new, but it was too ostentatious at the time!
followed by a few in the upto 24 and over 55 groups - more sense than money (Think of the insurance!) or re-living their youth (& s*d the insurance)

???
How's about " could have bought one but family demanded
somthing more practical"
followed by 45 to 54 (which includes YOU- still just!) could possibly have afforded it when new, but it was too ostentatious at the time!
how's about "is dreaming that he could have afforded it when new but didn't have enough cash..."
