Done a total spring clean on the car today. Wash, dry, clay, polish & Wax and I just wanted to post the results. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo before, but take it from me, she was carrying excess weight in winter grime!

I'll let the pictures speak to you, bearing in mind she is ten years old in July.

Your hard work really paid off Ross, like the de-chromed grille it seems to suit the dark BM colours...well done

A job well done! Looks great, very clean, do you see a real difference with the clay then?

Yeah Ally, I would recommend it!  Hard work though I used the meguiars clay system no probs at all, picked up loads from the bonnet leading edge and quite a bit from the windscreen too. All done by hand, no machines at all!

I now have arms as long as an orangutan

Surprised you say that, considering SG535d's results on his black car - it must be good stuff. Can't wait to see the pics

Thanks Pete, the scratch x is the very thing I wanted to do but, none available in the local car parts shops .

Nevermind I'll do her again in 6-7 weeks and include the scratch x stage and take before and after macro photos.

BTW What is the P21S and what does this do after wax?

P21S is just another Wax,but it says it gives deepest wet look (Dont they all)

Scratch X Does work, but you have to scrub like mad and i got bored,so my scratches are still there, but i will be getting a PC Soon,so that should take care of it

I will let you know if the P21S is any good

cool Pete

Has anyone used a PC (or other polisher) for the scratch X stage? (just thinking this may take the Hard work out of yet another stage..)

Dont think Scratch x is suitable for PC

There is other products out there for that job

Nice shine Pete  good work!

A totally satisfying finish

Oh another thing, to clean the windscreen I used Autoglym Glass Polish, It's brilliant.

It rained while I was out on a sunday jaunt and the water just rolled up the windscreen whilst moving  no need for wipers!
