The eternal optimist

But look at this little honey! Wonder how much that'll end up going for?

Get a hard top for it!

When funds allow I'm going to get a cabby & a hard top. It'll probably replace my beloved Touring unless I can convince the present Mrs. S to let me have 3 BMW's

You could always point the Mrs towards an E30 Touring with the optional dog guard - I've really grown to like mine. (The car, not the dog guard).

Problem is she already has a 328i touring manual which is the fastest dog van in the west.

Tempted with a 540i touring e39 manual 6 speeder but she treats the car like a dustbin so I may stay with the 328i until it blows up.

Trying to move house and get a double garage which would open up the way for a cabby like little honey.  Then it will be 4 BMW's

328 touring, 328i sport. m635, cabby

Hmmmmm

has anyone seen this advert in the club magazine classified section?

318i 1991 automatic convertible with 38k on the clock

£5500 for an old E30 seems a bit dear to me?

It is a bit adventurous for a 318 but with Motorsports closing in on the £10k mark it's not beyond the bounds of credibility.

As with any manufacturer, it's the convertibles that hold the prices best & the E30 cab was a good one. They've been tipped for classic status for a while now & it looks like the ball may have started rolling.

Good E30 M3's are seeing prices rise too.

Now's the time to bag yourself a good E30 & forget about depreciation!

Why would anybody want 4 BMW''s? I like them but
there are other cars out there! For £5500 I'd be
looking for a really decent late seventies Alfa 2000
Veloce Spider as opposed to a 318i with the roof
chopped off. Nice car but hardly special for 5.5 big
ones.

especially one that couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding - the e30 318 engine struggles anyway, let alone with the extra weight of a convertible body with its extra strengthening beams and an automatic box

Well I could easily name 4 BMWs I'd like to have but a good point.

£5500 would buy some some nice tackle - Lancia Fulvia Coupe, Alfa 1750 GTV to name but a couple. Ok, the roof doesn't come off but so what.

Roll on my lottery win!

How very dull! Automotive tunnel vision methinks?

Reminds me of that Fast Show sketch.....

"We come here on holiday every year. We don't like it,
but we come here every year"

4 x BMWs = marque bore!
