im looking at buying a 318ci sport coupe on a 53plate, 13k on the clock, leather interior and 18inch alloys. Is this a good buy, is a 318ci underpowerd what are the main problem with these cars? thanks for any replies in advance |

you will soon get bored of 318 power .but then again it all depends on what sort of power you want and are used too .go for a 6 cylinder bmw ie 320 or above if you want to enjoy the ownership if your not in to car for its performance then a 318 ci will suit you well and it will give you many years of trouble free motoring[well on a 53 plate that is] happy driving |

The 318 is very frugal and performance wise is not discracefull, but then again it's not quick either. The six cylinders sound better and go a lot quicker, but will use more fuel although you can exspect 30mpg from these. Insurance wise the 318 is significantly cheaper. Personally i would recomend one of the six cylinders, but again like has been said it depends what you want and what your used to. James |

I don't know the exact figures, but you are probable looking at 3-5mpg better for a 318, but performance wise there is a big difference as already mentioned.
