I have bought quite a few things from them in the past, more because of convienence. I order a few thigs recently and one item was 10ml of super strength thread lock for the wheel studs. I had the option of 50ml or 10ml. The last bottle of 10ml lasted for quite a while(20 studs, bolts for oil pan etc), so decided on the 10ml wouls suffice.

I did the 10 rear studs with the bottle and struggled to get any out. I managed to get enough to do the studs. I then phone DT and they said it should have 2 tea spoons in the bottle and to send the bottle back. The bottle was sent back. I got a message left on 9/2 to say that 10ml is not much at all, 2 tea spoons full.

I have phoned them today as i've been busy and they said tough basically. I asked for the bootle back and i was told they had thrown it away as it was the beginning if february they called.

Well won't be using them again then.

It's the principal and not the price i'm pead off with. Not a customer orientated company.

Not Good,

I must admit I've ever been that impressed with DT.  Especially when you consider the prices they charge.  I now tend to use a combination of Rally Design, Merlin Motorsport and Think Automotive whenever I can.

I've found Demon Tweeks to be ok on service, but their prices are so silly that I only use them as a last alternative.
I've used GPR once and its been a disaster. I called them and ordered some Brembo parts.I had to have then urgent ,so didn't even ask what the costs were.A week later and nothing has arrived so I give them a call. They say they have no record of me even placing an order. I tell them its just 6 bleed screws and one 38mm caliper piston seal.He quoted me a total of £32 for 6 screws and an O-ring.......Gave up with them and went to Pelican Parts in the USA.

I've used DT, several times over the years. What you pay for is the fact they are 95% likely to have whatever it is, in stock. Plus they've been going for a numbre of years, and you can more or less be sure it wil turn up. Unlike several other retailers I could mention. I also like reading their Motorsport Catalogue

However, I always get irritated by their P&P charges, which seem a touch ott. I would have no issue with suggesting people buy things from DT, but a) check its what you want 100% as returns are always a pain with ANY mail order co. and b) Check the overall price first.

I found DT OK but they used Initial Citylink who are the most customer hostile courier I've had the misfortune to deal with.

Well a little result.

After being fobbed off, i have just called them again and explained the suituation to someone else. I also explaned i was looking for mutol oil and they were cheaper than other places i had looked. I also expressed that customer service is important and a small issue like this meant i would use an alternative company that is more expensive.

They are sending a replacement, but asked if i wanted the oil. I said not at the moment, but will do before easters ring trip.

I would try Opie for Oil. They do discounts for club members.
