Happy New Year all.

Should the standard boot tool kit contain a spark
plug socket?

Mine -- '85 635csi -- appears to contain one! Rightly or wrongly.

-yes it should, big long (7") fat (1" dia) thing with a hole for a tommy bar in it.

6er tool kit is a thing of much loveliness when it is complete, worth searching out all the bits, I reckon.

cheers

Thanks for that. Thought that's what it was for. Just put a new
set of Bosch W7DC's in and also fitted a K&N air filter.

Good to see everyone's got plenty of tools!

What's the thing on the far end for? I haven't got one
of those.

Are you referring to the towing eye?

Chrome bumper cars won't have, they have an integrated eye protruding through the front lower valance.

On the Highline cars with plastic bumpers, there is a thread to screw the eye into!

hmm, from your kit Andy.... no sunroof allen key? And no emergency window winding adapter (maybe not required on a highline?)

as for Dave's.... oh dear, a bit of tool collecting to come I think....

cheers
