I can see what you mean, it is good, but for me a good open pit lane track day in the UK, just seems much better value and less grief, more track time to set the car up ? MAYBE IT'S JUST ME .

Fully agree with you. I totally exclude the Ring as a track day (which in reality it isn't a track day anyway), was just talking about the Ring as unique Place.
Personally I don't use the Ring as the place I want to push myself and the car to the limit, it's just for fun and a good place to meet all kind of people, cars and bikes.
And of course the food in the Pistenklause......

over the last few days i have been booking the various requirements of my trip to the ring.
it seems i will be driving for long periods of time followed by extended drinking sessions and cracking on to local bints.
if its got to be done..........

have to say I dont rate that place. Ate there 2 nights - food was cold, under cooked and service was crap!

This is very, very tentative until Nurburgring GmbH decide to publish
the schedule but we have in mind a visit from 20 May thru 29 May as
this would give us clearer lapping during the week as well as time over
the weekends to socialise and to odd lap(s) if it isn't too busy.

heres a short list of what I brought -
spare fuses, relays, oil, water, fan belt, pads, brake fluid and a few tools!
im sure others will recommend more

set of spare front pads, sparco race gloves, 8 cans of larger.
for the return trip i would recommend around 3000 tabs.
