Shouldn't think so. I doubt that car'll ever see the road again.
It was just too cheap not to buy. I bought it as a spares car, just to sit in the garage and rob bits off as and when needed - the wings for example are actually good (one's a replacement) and I need a pair - all the air con piping in mine is poor and it's like new in that one. Mine's missing the headlamp wipers and they're there on that one. Apparently I might be needing a diff soon as well. I haven't really looked at the structure yet, but bits of it are definitely rotten. No plug spanner though!
Now I'm in two minds, one part of me says it would be a crime to break it, but the pragmatist knows that as soon as I sell it or start to restore it, then I'll need to spend a fortune on a bit that I could have taken off that one. I'll take a good look at it when it turns up and assess it properly then, but at the moment I think it's a spares car.
The Highline has just had a full suspension rebuild with new shocks, springs, top mounts, bushes, droplinks etc. etc. along with a starter motor, cap, rotor arm and leads (the second last BMW set ever apparently - no surprise at the guts of £300) and diff oil seals, so I'm looking forward to seeing how much better it drives. The engine is currently in bits getting the dreaded timing chain done and then it needs to get wings and sills sorted and a respray all before the Spring so a quick sale for profit might also be useful!! Offers on a postcard.
You'll never have any money as long as you have an old M car.
