Hi Guys,

Im new here and after a bit of advise. When i operate the central locking on my car from the drivers door, only the rear left and driver doors lock and unlock. The other two don't respond. If i then put the key in the front passenger door and operate the central locking, the doors lock fine. Any ideas cos im really stumped!

i dont think they are expensive

but i think to fit them would be a bit of a pain to do

try ringing around independant bmw garages to see how much it would cost to fit them or try German Swedish & French Car Parts

Are you sure the system is well lubricated try some wd40 in the lock on front door and around in the lock on rear. this may solve it. they may just be frozen and need tlc.

hello everyone

Iam new here aswel!

i had the same problem with my car, the passenger front lock wouldnt respond and all the locks kept opening and locking, but worked fine when i unlocked the door from the passenger side,i showed my car to the local electrician, he said it was a faulty solenoide, so i got on to the phone to quarry motors (http://www.quarrymotors.co.uk/) the bmw specialists, they sorted me out with a solenoid for £15.27 next day delivery and 90 days warranty. i got it fitted three weeks back and its all perfect now!! i hope this helps you out, good luck!
