Hi there
We are looking for a pristine BMW M3 Evolution 3.2 (96-97) to photograph for a magazine feature for our January issue (on sale early December).

The article, entitled Christmas Crackers, features the M3 as one of six great cars to buy. Would anyone here with a suitable car be up for it?

We're based in Hatfield just off the A1 near St Albans.

If you can't get a 3.2, I'll forward my 3.0!

Saloon or Coupe?

Shahzad. I've emailed you and sent a pic. But if you see this first, I've got the convertible 3.2 evo in techno violet.

Hi guys, an update on this thread:

I did the photo shoot today with my M3 evo.

So I spent all of Monday afternoon cleaning the car inside and out as you would do, and put it away in the garage looking A1

Tuesday morning I look out the bedroom window. . It is pissing it down! So armed with a chamois I set off trying to avoid big dirty puddles. Lol

I was first of the group of cars to arrive at the magazines HQ. Over the next hour all the different cars arrived and the team were ready to shoot ...except it was still raining. The plus side off the rain though was we had a great pub lunch (tasted even nicer as the magazine paid) and with perfect timing as we finished our meals the rain has stopped!

Time for the photo shoot… Basically the idea for the feature is six great cars you can buy for between £2000 and £20000 ranging from a MK2 Golf GTI to a Porsche 911 carrera 4, with the M3 in the £15000 range. The rain held off! And the shoot went well.

My M3 along with the five different makes of cars will be on the front cover with mine and the Porsche in the front of the photo

The Magazine will be out mid December. (Used Car Buyer)

Hi guys,

I had forgotten to post the pic of the finish product as it were.

I like the way they decided the m3 should be at the front! lol They know it makes sense.

Regards

Rory

Hi guys,

The article itself was not all that exciting; it was just a couple of paragraphs on where to buy, prices and standard performance figures etc.

The main aim of the article was to create a list (in the magazines opinion) of the best cars you can get for between £2000-£20000.  and that you could buy one for yourself as a Christmas present, hence, the title Xmas crackers.

There are some more pictures and when I get a chance I will post them.

What I liked was that that the M3 had more than 70bhp over it’s nearest rival featured.

Regards,

Rory

Howdy do,

What were the rivals? Did the article say what gave best driving pleasure? (Of course we know the answer anyway, but its nice for others to recognise that fact!!!!!).

Not sure what the rivals were in the m3 price band.

They did not say which car gave the best driving pleasure, just said they all did.

But like you say, we know the answer already!!
