I changed mine recently via the radiator out route. Pretty simple but watch out for the wiring on your replacement fan. Mine had high and low speeds cross wired so it fused trying to put over 20amps through the low speed fuse which is only 15amps.

changed mine in the summer.
I had the bumper off at the time, so didn't have to remove anything else. It's a bit of a tight squeeze, but should go in ok without moving the rad.
The bolts on mine were very corroded, so I'd order new ones just to be on the safe side.

If you have A/C, then it will be bolted to the condenser.

The fan bolts on the front slam panel, where your bonnet is hinged, with two brackets and the bottom of the fan sits in a single rubber bush mounted on the front lower rail in front of the radiator.

Sounds easy enough. The fan doesnt bolt onto the rad, where does it bolt onto? Also, shall I order new bolts? Do they seize up?

 I must have had no problems with me nuts!  I must admit, back then I never realised how easy the front bumper comes off. Once this is out of the way, I guess there is ample space.

Done this in the summer when I fitted my CF airbox and filter housing. As 215DMX says do it from the front by removing the front bumper, no need to touch your radiator.

It's alot easier if you do remove the front bumper,
especially if the little nuts are bugg–ered up.

From what I can remember it wasn't a rad out job, but unsecure the radiator at the top, keeping the hoses attached, so no coolant drainning, remove the grilles, bonnet open at the front if you know what I mean, and unbolt the fan.
It was 5 years ago when I did it on my Europameister, and I don't remember it being a pig of a job.
I certainly didn't remove the bumper though!

Hello again fellas
I'm changing my eletric fan this weekend. Is it as simple as it looks? Is it a disconnect pipes, rad off and drain antifreeze job, or off with front grill and bumper jobbie?
