yes indeedy, on Saturday my trusty old 1989 BMW 635csi F256 OTA was professionally photograhed by Alistair of TotalBMW car magazine with writer Andy Everett in attendance.
Some 100+ photos were taken & I was staggered at the detail of the photography session. It really is something you have to see to believe.
Took about 3 hours & involved static, moving & car to car pics.

Apprarently my car will be featured in the mag in the New Year.

I'd had one of the guys who'd done bodywork on the car arrive at my house at 8am, to shammy, polish & buff my car. By the time the guys arrived my car looked superb.

I hope you all enjoy the article in the New Year.

I am proud as punch that my car was selected for inclusion in the mag!

My pic, but you will recognise the background when the mag is published!
The refurbished style 5's looked stunning.
In the foreground you will see the photographer, adjusting his lenses etc.

Gorgeous car: so very well deserved. And nice to see Total BMW acknowleding the older 6ers. Featuring all those boxy new 1 Series, 3 series, 7 series etc finally put me off buying the magazine 18 months or so ago. They might even win back some readers if they keep up this far more admirable behaviour!

Thanks Graeme!

I've got quite a lot of TBMW mags at home, going back over the last couple of years & I've seen at least 3 E24's featured, as well as some 3.0 CS's etc, so they do still seem to keep in touch with older BMW metal, as well as the newer stuff from what I can see.

If TBMW get extra readers as a result of featuring older stuff then thats great all round I reckon!

I've mentioned this photoshoot on 4 forums now, including this!
All very positive comments coming back as well.

There is always more to do James, remember I've been doing this on quite a tight budget, which is even more satisfying!

GOOD!!!! I will subscribe again next year to TBMW, so i can see Your car!

My car will be on AUTOMOBILISMO D'EPOCA (italian magazine)in march 2006, exactly 30 years after the Geneve presentation (march 1976).

They took a lot of photo of my car for the dossier about E24s ..

You will see also 1 arktisblau M635 , 1 other 635 balticblau(exactly the same color of mine) and a 628, always in balticblau(not very creative in Italy, when first owners choosed colors ...)...

When the mag will be available at local shops, I will scan the article for you, guys!

Not to be left out, my Six is gracing the BigCoupe.com calendar for 2006.

Don't know which month yet.

Glad to be of inspiration. This was the picture that got me going.

Wonder what happened to it. The guy decided to sell just after I'd agreed to my Six. I think it may have been at Donington 2004.

  1. The 6 series (F848 VDF) pictured above has some sort of sill cover fitted.

Was this common ? Can't ever recall seeing one before.
