Anyone reading this will realise that I am supposed to be meeting everyone at the services, about now.....i'll be there!

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass-out at 31 Flavours last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Looks like I'm first to post the evidence.

The wider view . . .

The old and the new.

First of all.....a HUGE thank you to everyone that came.

Fifteen cars made it in total.  Those being a combination of BMW Car Club Northeast & Scottish regions, plus the contingent from TSN.

Good to meet new faces and my apologies to the two 'new' guys in the E30's who I never got to talk to.

Unfortunately, all the cars were utterly filthy within seconds of hitting the A1 Northbound.

I didn't get back until 4 because myself, AndyS, Shark90 (TSN), Floody, Tim and a couple of others took the Northumberland Coastal Route home....including RossG from TSN who went South for a good few miles with us. Shame the Coach/Bus stopped us having much fun but we had a very enthusiastic blast once it had turned off!

What speed was that on the dual carriageway Ben....oooooooeer!!!!  AndyS - that was a nice 'spirited' run down those country lanes too!

Firstly...the line-up at Holy Island...

Now, spot the imposter...

A few closer shots...

A chavved up Audi A4 Avant in the car park was sporting this lovely 'home made' graphic.  Look carefully, they're 4 x letter 'O's neatly lined up to overlap...tasteful eh...

On Lindesfarne Causeway...

Milo (TSN) had a crap time in the car park.   A little bit of wheelspin whilst over a pile of, ermmm, poo, resulted in some of it flicking up onto his nice clean wing....

A few pictures of Lindesfarne Priory...

We then had Fish & Chips at Neptunes (?), on which Milo had managed to secure everyone a discount.  Oh, and he got his completely free of charge...but what was RossG thinking in his moment of contemplation with P_G (TSN) and Shark90 (TSN)?

Back in the car park at Seahouses, RossG has lost his car..

Whilst old and new 6's cuddle up together...

Ben & Ross then cuddle up in Ben's sootchucker...

Ross has a drive of Ben's motor...and comes back coughing a lot....but they agree on compensation for health care and part ways..

The journey back starts well with plenty of clear roads and the car's stretching back...(although we'd lost 7 of them at this point!)...

But then we hit queues and seem destined to tootle on home at a sedate pace...

Behind me, I spot Ben doing his Cannon & Ball impersonations...
 [image] http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y111/Coasting/BenRocks-NOT. jpg[/image]

..and a good day was (hopefully) had by all.  Next time we'd probably skip Holy Island as the weather was a bit 'nippy' but it was worth the trip across.

Hope everyone enjoyed it, and thanks for supporting the meet.  Much appreciated.

BIG thank you's to RossG for travelling 2+ hours down from Scotland, to Ben for doing another marathon trip to the Northeast, to Jimdiesel for coming all the way from York, and to the BMW Car Club boys from Scotland who packed most of Fife into their Tourer and travelled a heck of a distance!

Chris, Great day.  Really good run out.  Nice to be able to drive the cars how they should be driven.  As usual, excellent photo's, altough I forgot to do my 'dance' for the camera!

I'm up for more of these.

Thanks for a good day mate.

I didn't have the Speed Limiter in the car today

Shame I couldn't see where I was going half the time because of the sun!

Great day but couldn't use the cars engine much as I was stuck behind Chris (BillGates) who had to be a bit cautious with having no DSC etc. We hit traffic and I even lost him, but caught up to him later on. Enjoyed the day though...anyone for snow sliding later in the year ? !

Snow sliding could be later in the week according to the forecast in papers today !

Anyone else posting pics of today, can you either remove number plate details, or get peoples permission first please, as some people don't like their plates displayed on a forum.

Best Wishes

Nigel

Good to meet you Wayne.  Your M3 is fantastic!  And it was great being behind you and watching your M3 do it's little rear end dance on almost every bend!

For those that were there, a really great drive back!!

Wayne - my apologies - I never got the chance to speak to you.  Cracking looking M3 though.  It drew a few comments from the TSN mob too.

Nice pic's lads, looks a bit chilly up there - 'fraid I was up Saddleworth Moor area on Sunday (Rochdale) picking up SWMBO's car I doubt if it would have kept up if I'd have been anywhere close.

Who have loved to have gone - looks like I could have travelled up with another York lad. maybe next time

Mark, sorry mate I forgot about you saying it was your Birthday!

Happy 50th, belated....

Now then, that A4 1.9TDi that you were struggling to keep up with...well it's had a rather large remap...and is putting out a lot of bhp!

Did you notice the smokescreen that comes with it...
