All, i am looking to put these on me E39 in 17's or 18's, depending on the deal. Will i need to use spig rings, or alter suspension or will they go straight on?

You won't need to use spigot rings as they are for putting E39 wheels onto an E34 and previous 5/6/7 series cars as they have the smaller centre bore. Either size will bolt straight on, just make sure they are for E39. HTH Paul |

IIRC correctly the rule of thumb with wheels on E39s is if you go 18" + then you're gonna have to drop the suspension, 17s you don't have too.
HAving said that I am going to drop my suspension by 30mm front & rear since putting 17s on mine. |

go for 18" alloy's, 17z look to small......not sure if you'd have to drop the suspension though? (unless you really want to) the gap between the standard 16" and up-graded 18" from the body is about the same in saying that....mine will be lower soon, got my new Eibach's earlier in the week pic's of my 523 pic 1: standard 16" & standard suspension pic 2: up-graded 18" alloy's & standard suspension

Yeah,IMO the gap looks too big.
17s or 18s choice is yours. You do need to sort hub & offset though b4 buying as theres every chance they won't fit. IIRC mine are 8x17 at front with 235/45/17s and 9x17 rear with 255/40/17 |

Mine is on 17's with standard suspension. The wheels were for e39, and came with 2 different sized sets of rings - needed one of them to fit the wheels snugly.
