Maybe he should try some who knows what they're doing?

Ah, maybe you're one of those fellas who has some sort of weird electrical forcefield around them - ye know the type of thing: lights fails when you walk into a room, or balloons keep stickin' to ya

Sounds like it's shorting out somewhere.
Tracking down electrical gremlins is a long thankless task. In the long
run it's easier & cheaper just to take the car to an auto
electrician & let them go through the car properly. It will save
you hours of frustration.
Trust me, I've been there

has anyone had the fault where the wing mirror (in my case the drivers side one) starts when the ignition turned on, and then fuses resulting in ignition power loss?
Ivor has seen this happen first hand on my 6 when I tried to start it last weekend.
I thought that I might have connected the plug the wrong way round initially, but it can only be connected one way. It was working fine before - any ideas.
The only thing I can think of is the switch, but as I say it was working fine before.
